Ex Chinese minister sentenced to death for bribery worth 16million US dollars.
Former Chinese justice minister Fu Zhenghua who lead several corruption-fighting campaigns, has been overthrown to death for bribery involving over $16 million.
In July, Fu Zhenghua Confessed receiving 117 million yuan which is equivalent to 16.5 million US dollars in gifts and money to satisfy his personal desires.
Ex minister Fu, 67 was handed a suspended death sentence that will be converted to life imprisonment after two years with no chance of bail by a court in Changchun according to state media on Thursday.
Before Fu became a minister in 2018, he was the vice head of the ministry of public security and had spearheaded numerous high-profile investigations and crackdowns consisting an investigation about a decade ago into Zhou Yongkang, an ex security tsar and the most powerful official in modern China to be convicted of corruption.
