  Dance Hall Artise Charles Nii Armah Mensah, well known as Shatta wale has been detained by    The Economic and Organised Crime Office. His management team broke the news to the public via Facebook post on the 20th of August .  Sammy Flex Baah, road manager for Shatta wrote, “The management of dancehall artist Shatta Wale (Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr.) is issuing this statement following his detention by the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) today. According to him, “This follows an inquiry related to tax obligations of a yellow Lamborghini vehicle. Mr. Mensah presented himself voluntarily at the EOCO offices this afternoon along with his lawyer Cephas Biyuo, to assist with investigations. He assured Shatta Wale’s fans “…and the general public that his legal team is fully engaged and actively working with the authorities to resolve this matter. Air India plane crashes with 242 people on board.

  The plane was carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members when it crashed on Thursday, June 12, shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad. Air India Flight AI171 crashed five minutes after takeoff from Ahmedabad to London on June 12, killing over 200 passengers The aircraft was carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members when it struck a residential area It's the first fatal crash involving a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, prompting investigations supported by GE Aerospace and Air India.    The passengers included 169 people from India, 53 from the U.K., seven from Portugal and one from Canada. In response to the tragic crash on Thursday, June 12, experts are saying the Boeing 787 Dreamliner typically has a strong safety record, making the collision particularly abnormal and the first of its kind, according to  Reuters .

Ghana’s Embassy in Washington D.C reopens today.

  The Embassy of Ghana in Washington D.C resumes work today , Thursday, May 25, 2025 after    a temporary closure ordered by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. The closure, which took effect on Monday, May 26, was influenced by an alleged corruption scandal involving the Embassy’s visa section. Honorable Ablakwa disclosed on his Facebook page that, a local    IT staff member is accused of diverting funds belonging to the Embassy into a personal account. Chairman of Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Dr. Alfred Oko Vanderpuije, has thrown his support behind the Minister’s swift action. Lil Durk arrested and charged in a murder-for-hire plot.

Lil Durk whose real name is Durk Devontay Banks — has been arrested in Florida and has been charged for murder-for-hire plot, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. The “All My Life” artist, arrest comes hours after five people were arrested on murder-for-hire charges linked to the artist. As USA Today reported, “prosecutors claim all five people — named Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey and Asa Houston — have ties to Banks’ hip-hop group ‘Only The Family.'” Authorities believe their motive was retaliation for the 2020 murder of Chicago rapper King Von. Blavity  reported that Von, born Dayvon Daquan Bennett, was a signed artist under Durks’ Only The Family label. He was shot and killed outside of a club in Atlanta.

  Wrestler/ Actor John Cena has declared his announcement from the world wrestling entertainment (WWE) which will include a farewell tour next year..  John disclosed this to fans during WWE "Money in the bank" event in Canada. Fans booed to express their dissatisfaction of the Actor's decision. Pope Francis approves Catholic Priests to bless same-sex couples.

  Pope Francis    has formally authorised Roman Catholic priests to bless same-sex couples, the Vatican announced Monday, in a significant shift in the church’s approach to LGBTQ+ people. On Monday,    Vatican's doctrine office released a statement which contains guidance and details the  declaration , which states, in part,  "When people ask for a blessing, an exhaustive moral analysis should not be placed as a precondition for conferring it. For those seeking a blessing should not be required to have prior moral perfection." "Ultimately, a blessing offers people a means to increase their trust in God," the declaration states.
